Muhlenberg County VINE Coverage
Kentucky runs VINE as a free statewide service. The Kentucky Department of Corrections VINE page describes an automated system that gathers custody information from jail booking systems, prisons, mental-health facilities, and certain juvenile detention programs. Participation runs around the clock. The Attorney General's office confirms local jails and adult corrections across the state take part.
Muhlenberg-specific details are thinner. The state publishes no county VINE contract, uptime report, or data-delay promise. A blank result still proves nothing about custody. When a fresh arrest or urgent safety concern needs confirmation, call the Muhlenberg County Detention Center at 270-338-2263.
Search Muhlenberg Arrest Custody
Begin at the VINELink landing page. Pick Kentucky, then choose Find an Offender. A partial name or an offender identifier is enough to start, though app paths can change.
- Select Kentucky and choose the person-search function.
- Enter a partial or full name, or use a jail or DOC identifier when known.
- Compare the name, county, agency, facility, and any identifier across possible matches.
- Open the matching custody result and review its status before selecting Notify Me.
- Confirm an absent or urgent result with the county jail.
Never pick a match on spelling alone. A statewide search reaches far. It can pull people held in other Kentucky facilities. An offender identifier beats spelling. Facility and agency details separate similar names. For a booking still in local intake, the Muhlenberg arrests today route works better.
The Kentucky person-search screen shows the fields and state selection a custody check uses.

The tool handles a focused person search, not a gallery of booking photos.
Muhlenberg VINE Result Fields
A result is a status record. It is not a certified booking sheet, a court record, or an official county photo.
| Item | How to use it |
|---|---|
| Name or identifier | Match it against known details. |
| Facility | Shows the reported custody location. |
| Custody status | Read it as of the system's latest update. |
| Release or transfer event | Useful for alerts, but confirm urgent changes. |
| Agency or county | Helps distinguish people with similar names. |
| Notification option | Begins phone, email, text, or app registration. |
VINE says nothing about how a case ends. The Muhlenberg court clerk holds that record. A sentenced person may also surface in Kentucky's KOOL corrections search, which is not an all-bookings index.
Register for Kentucky VINE Alerts
Once the right record is on screen, select Notify Me. Kentucky offers phone, email, text, and in-app alerts. Register more than one number or address, and choose direct contacts over a switchboard that cannot take automated calls.
- Select the desired release, transfer, escape, or other available status event.
- Enter a direct phone number, email address, text destination, or supported app choice.
- Create the four-digit PIN used to acknowledge automated phone calls.
- Save the PIN and registration information where it can be reached safely.
- Update the registration if the contact method changes.
An unanswered automated call can leave a message and keep retrying until a PIN is entered. Jail-release calls are persistent. Kentucky's Attorney General says they can repeat every 30 minutes for 24 hours, or until acknowledged. Some arrive at night. The monitored person never learns a registration exists. The Kentucky DOC page explains VINE sources, PIN use, retries, and contact channels.

That official page is the best source for how notifications behave locally.
When Muhlenberg VINE Finds No Match
Start with a partial name and any identifier. Try alternate spellings too. The Kentucky VINE FAQ explains the partial-name and Notify Me process.
The same FAQ page lays out Kentucky's identifier guidance.

Better search habits cannot fix a booking that has not reached VINE yet. That takes a phone call. Call the Muhlenberg County Detention Center first. For a record rather than live status, use the Sheriff's open-records form or the arresting police agency. The Sheriff's Office is at 100 South Main Street, Greenville, KY 42345, phone 270-338-3345. No separate records line is published.
VINE Boundaries After Arrest
VINE is not the Federal Bureau of Prisons locator. Federal cases belong to the BOP locator. Immigration detention is separate, handled by ICE's own system. Muhlenberg County offers no separate SAVIN brand, county alert app, or local VINE variant.
- Transfer
- Movement from one custody facility or authority to another.
- Release
- Departure from custody under the reported event, not a finding of innocence or guilt.
- Detainer
- A request by another authority concerning continued custody or transfer.
- Disposition
- The court's later resolution of a charge.
Kentucky's toll-free VINE number is 1-800-511-1670. The Office of Victim Services lists 502-564-5061, toll-free 877-687-6818, and OVS.Help@ky.gov, but emergencies still call for 911.
Muhlenberg Arrest Alerts and Innocence
A custody notification reports one event. It is not the whole case. Arraignment, an early court appearance, and later hearings can change much after the arrest.
Log the source, date, facility, and status with every alert. Confirm a surprising release or transfer yourself. For non-emergency VINE help, use Kentucky's official victim-services contacts.
